ALEXANDER “Sasha” POVETKIN appende i guantoni ** ALEXANDER “Sasha” POVETKIN hung up the gloves

ALEXANDER “Sasha” POVETKIN appende i guantoni!

Nel frattempo si è beccato il Coronavirus, e già all’entrata nel Europa Point Sports Complex a Gibilterra, lo scorso 27 marzo, il suo passo ero incerto, stanco, si malato…le gambe non c’erano più, ma l’Uomo ha  voluto onorare il contratto che prevedeva il rematch e così non si è tirato indietro;

**a good fight between two solid opponents.  POVETKIN suffers the first defeat of his career, his corner doesn’t speak his language, it’s useless the arrival of ZIMIN, already at the corner of NICOLAI VALUEV, they speak the same Russian language, but this doesn’t improve SAHSA’s performance.

un giovane ALEXANDER POVETKIN nel momento migliore della sua carriera **a young ALEXANDER POVETKIN at the pick of his career.

** At the weigh-in the Englishman refuese to shake the hands of POVETKIN.. The night of the fight at the Match Room Camp in England,  last August 22nd 2020,  ALEXANDER POVETKIN vs DILLIAN WHYTE at the 5th round, what a great uppercut to the jaw! It’s the  KO of the year!

**Here a swollen ALEXANDER POVETKIN in decline, entrance at the Europe Arena  in Gibraltar, he just overcome Covid-19, but accepts revenge by suffering from the English an unnecessary punishment.

ALEXANDER “Sasha” POVETKIN hung up the gloves!

It’s time for Sasha to smell the roses …

41 years in the Great Boxing are the age of the elephant, more is not possible. At the age of 41, only the Maximum Weights reach us, the due exceptions confirm the biological rule. Sasha has persistent injuries that require treatment.

In the last fight ALEXANDER “Sasha” POVETKIN vs DILLIAN WHYTE,  he suffered like a schoolboy who entered the gym for the first time … after having entranced the public all over the world, only last  August 22nd, 2020 with a deadly KO the same English rival for the interim title of the World Boxing Council -WBC- A KO so spectacular as to be the best of 2020, certainly in my annual ranking.

In the meantime he caught the Coronavirus, and already at the entrance to the Europa Point Sports Complex in Gibraltar, last March 27rh, his step was uncertain, tired, sick … the legs were gone, but the Man  wanted to honor the contract that provided for the rematch and so he did not hold back;

every great champion respects their commitments, it has often happened that health was at stake …

ALEXANDER POVETKIN was Olympic Gold Medal of Heavyweights in 2004, the wild beast that the Olympic amateur, ROBERTO CAMMARELLE has never managed to dominate, always suffering crushing defeats from this champion from the Russian province. CAMMARELLE made it  in the 2008 at Beijing Olympics, winning the Gold Medal against the predictable …  houseboy  ZHANG ZHILEI!

POVETKIN born in European Russia, in the city of Kursk, where each monument is dedicated to the military who have distinguished themselves in the various wars. This was before he turned pro. Then with the fantastic German organization Sauerland Event, he held the world heavyweight title of the World Boxing Association -WBA- between 2011 and 2013, spectacular deeds vs the “romantic” Uzbek RUSLAN “the white Tyson” CHAGAEV.

He ended the career of the American from Detroit, CEDRIC BOSWELL. A night and not really one of the greatest one happen vs Serbian vs MARKO “the incredible” HUCK, I would say the only one who questioned the certainties of him even if the Serbian, resident in Germany, was in the Heavy Weight Division just for one night the night vs. ALEXANDER POVETKIN.

Again with a spectacular TKO he stopped the American from Baltimore, RASIM RHAMAN; in Russia once again the Polish ANDRZEJ WAWRZYK stops via KO; but right in his homeland, in Moscow, in October 2013, he suffered a clear defeat on points against a great WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO, the Ukrainian who most of all held the World Heavyweight champion belts, for more than 9 years, the longest reign still belongs to the great American JOE LOUIS, 11 years.

Two titans both Olympic Gold Medals, both have made the great leap in the professionals, earning the esteem of all fans and all sports not only of great boxing, from every corner of the world. Taking home in addition to the great esteem of the public, huge purse of dollars $$$$$$$$$$$$ or €uros! They both left the ring with the neurons in place!

And POVETKIN never gave up, this great and humble champion, and also often questioned with unfounded suspicions of doping. That cold war, between the USA and RUSSIA, every now and then, even if only to psychologically bring down the opponent, comes back … but SASHA  has always been within the rules, coming out stronger than before.

ALEXANDER “Sasha” POVETKIN has won 36 wins, three losses and one draw in his professional career, including 25 KOs

“The years take their toll,” Povetkin said in a video posted on his Instagram account. “I have all kinds of injuries that still need to be treated. The time has come for me to end my career.”

ALEXANDER POVETKIN has been among the best Heavy Weights in the world for about a decade.

Thanks SASHA for the great emotions you gave to the whole world.
