Le ragazze della Boxe in azione: SERRANO vs CRUZ e BAUMGARDNER vs MEKHALED al Madison Square Garden

Sia AMANDA SERRANO che ERIKA CRUZ  sono perfette nei loro Pesi Piuma, così ieri sulla bilancia: 125,4 libbre = 56,800 Kg

Questa sera al Madison Square Garden di New York, un bel match e la competizione è di quelle storiche, un match tra latini: SERRANO Porto Rico vs CRUZ Messico.

AMANDA SERRANO 34 anni, negli anni ha dato molte prove di volere essere nelle top 10 di tutti i tempi, e ci ha dato fantastiche vibrazioni anche quando ha perso nel match valevole per la categoria dei Pesi leggeri, vs KATYE TAYLOR lo scorso giugno 2022.

Questa notte, SERRANO mette in palio le sue cinture conquistate nei Pesi Piuma: IBF, IBO, WBC, WBO. I Pesi Piuma sono la sua categoria, quella in cui si esprime meglio. E stai certo che s’imporrà sino all’ultimo round per conquistare anche la Cintura WBA e così essere Campionessa indiscussa della categoria dei Piuma.

E con quell’orgoglio di appartenenza a Porto Rico, sarebbe la prima atleta, maschio o femmina ad unificare tutte le Cinture e raggiungere un tal grande traguardo!

Con il suo sguardo da tigre affamata AMANDA inciderà tagliando il ring e  con quella guardia sinistra cercherà di disorientare la messicana. ERIKA altrettanto guardia sinistra, ha l’arsenale per rispondere alla portoricana con severe punizioni.

Infatti ERIKA CRUZ, 32 anni  che metterà in palio la sua cintura WBA vinta nel 2021, non ha nessuna intenzione di abbassare lo sguardo. Sa che SERRANO è ormai un consolidata Combattente, ma lei non si sente da meno. Ha voluto questa sfida.

É una grande opportunità. E sui terreni sportivi la rivalità tra queste due nazioni é una lungaaaa storia! 

L’unica cosa che accomuna questa notte di fuochi d’artificio al Madison Square Garden è che le onde messicane dei fan a squarciagola, avranno in comune con le portoricane la stessa lingua spagnola.

L’americana BAUMGARDNER atletica e dotata del colpo risolutore può essere lo show di questa notte! Detiene tutte le cinture della categoria esclusa la vacante WBA.  La sua avversaria è la francese MEKHALED, 31 anni, un ottimo record, un solo perso con la fantastica belga DELFINE PERSOON!

La francese ha una grande responsabilità confermare la Francia pugilistica! L’orgoglio non può essere ferito…

La gran Campeon SERRANO ai punti, come avevo previsto…10 di round di raffiche. Grande intrattenimento!

Uno scontro accidentale di teste ha causato un brutto taglio sulla fronte della CRUZ a 30 secondi dalla fine del terzo round.

Invece alla fine del 6° round, una combinazione sinistra-destra-sinistra-destra-sinistra di AMANDA SERRANO ha sconcertato la CRUZ a circa 50 secondi dalla fine del sesto round. ERIKA CRUZ è inciampata all’indietro, finendo tra le corde, e la Serrano ne ha approfittato per cercare il KO.

La CRUZ ha resistito incredibilmente alla raffica di colpi della SERRANO ed è arrivata alla fine del sesto round.

Un match torrido, spettacolare, I punteggi sono stati un poì troppo a favore di SERRANO, sarei stata più generosa con CRUZ, ma non avrebbe cambiato lo stato di superiorità di SERRANO.

CRUZ  ha combattuto da vero Campione.

SERRANO si conferma gran talento!  E 1° Campionessa assoluto dal Porto Rico! Così i giudici: Steve Weisfeld (98-92),  Frank Lombardi (98-92)Mark Constantino (97-93).

Both AMANDA SERRANO and ERIKA CRUZ  are perfect in their Featherweights, so yesterday on the scales: 125.4 lbs = 56.800 Kg

Tonight at Madison Square Garden in New York, a good fight and the competition is historical, a fight between Latinos: SERRANO Puerto Rico vs CRUZ Mexico.

AMANDA SERRANO 34 years old, has given many proofs of wanting to be in the top 10 of all time, and she also gave us great vibes when she lost in the Lightweight fight vs KATYE TAYLOR last June 2022.

Tonight, SERRANO on stake her featherweight belts: IBF, IBO, WBC, WBO. Featherweights are her division, the one in which she expresses herself best.

And rest assured that she will impose herself until the last round to conquer the WBA Belt as well and thus be the undisputed Champion of the Featherweight division.

And with that pride of belonging to Puerto Rico, she would be the first athlete, male or female to unify all Belts and achieve such an outstanding achievement!

With her hungry tiger gaze, AMANDA will cut the ring and with that southpaw guard she will try to disorient the Mexican. ERIKA equally left guard, she has the arsenal to answer the Puerto Rican with severe punishments.

In fact, ERIKA CRUZ, 32 years old, on the stake her WBA belt won in 2021, has no intention of lowering her gaze. She knows that SERRANO is now an established Fighter, but she doesn’t feel outdone. She wanted this challenge. It’s a great opportunity.

La gran Campeon SERRANO on points, as I predicted…10 rounds of a hailstorm! Great entertainment!

An accidental clash of heads caused a nasty cut on CRUZ’s forehead with 30 seconds left in the third round.

Instead at the end of the 6th round, a left-right-left-right-left combination by AMANDA SERRANO stumped CRUZ with about 50 seconds left in the sixth round. ERIKA CRUZ tripped backward, ending up between the ropes, and Serrano took the opportunity to try the KO.

CRUZ withstood SERRANO’s flurry of blows and made it to the end of the sixth round.

A torrid, spectacular fight and the scores were a little too much in favor of SERRANO, I would have been more generous with CRUZ, but it wouldn’t have changed SERRANO’s superiority.

CRUZ fought like a true Champion.

SERRANO confirms great talent! And the 1st undisputed Champion from Porto Rico! Thus the judges: Steve Weisfeld (98-92), Frank Lombardi (98-92) Mark Constantino (97-93).

ALYCIA BAUMGARDNER with all her heart, and her will, won convinced on points over the French ELHEM MEKHALED. ALYCIA hit hard, knocking out ELHEM twice in the 4th round.

BAUMGARDNER is confirmed as the absolute Champion of the Super Featherweight division. A long night, of great boxing classics!
