Questa sera sembra interessante il match all’MGM Grand di Las Vega, la 37enne, americana JESSICA McCASKILL vs KANDY WYATT 30 anni canadese, per le Cinture WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF Pesi Welter, in 10 round.

Il Covid ha impedito all’argentina VICTORIA la leona BUSTOS di raggiungere gli USA e dunque all’ultimo minuto è stata sostituita tre giorni fa dalla canadese.

VICTORIA BUSTOS, è uno dei tanti pugili professionisti nel mondo, che hanno a che fare con carriere che si bloccano, non per colpa sua, ma per colpa della pandemia. Ed è così frustrante…Comunque l’argentina era già stata ben ripassata colpo su colpo, da CECILIA BREAKHUS sul ring di Montecarlo nel 2019.

È stato cancellato anche il match a Tokyo, che avrebbe dato una serata sensazionale tra i Pesi Medi, GENNADY GGG GOLOVKIN vs RYOTA MIURATA. E niente, la nuova variante Omicron della pandemia, ha chiuso il Giappone. E  con l’indiscussa classe GGG, ha twittato, che la salute di tutti è più importante.

Le ragazze di stanotte, anche se all’ultimo minuto, sono ben assortite. La McCASKILL, incontra un’avversaria con la sua stessa esperienza, 13 match, di cui 10 vinti e 3 persi.

JESSICA McCASKILL ha confermato di essere al culmine della carriera quando lo scorso marzo, senza dubbi ha strappato tutte e quattro le Cinture vinte in 10 anni, dalla straordinaria norvegese CECILIA BRAEKHUS. Non ci credo ancora…

Forse per la nostalgia di quella cavalcata decennale, in cui non mi sono persa un match di CECILIA the first lady BRAEKHUS, la concentrazione, la preparazione, la determinazione, l’umiltà, e la sua risata contagiosa, e la sua classe dentro e fuori dal ring, è stata, ed è un faro per la Boxe Donne.

CECILIA le ha incontrate tutte e le ha vinte tutte in 14 anni di regno, con i suoi 38 match in carriera, dal 2007-2021.

Tutte, tranne JESSICA McCASKILL, nell’ultimo match, lo scorso marzo, l’americana ha convinto vincendo ai punti, che potrebbe essere l’erede di quel bottino così meritatamente conquistato dalla BRAEKHUS.

Io non ne sono proprio convinta.

La carriera di McCASKILL, 37 anni con soli 12 match, più fresca, e senza altre rivali di pregio…vita facile. Nella boxe non si guadagna la stima con facilità.

E non importa quanto il marketing possa strillare…

Dunque il regno di McCASKILL, sarà lungo. Ma non conquistato sui ring di tutta Europa e USA come la BRAEKHUS, in 10 anni così esaltanti, e con tutta quella positività, o anche gioia di vivere.

E CECILIA sempre incredula ad ogni vittoria, è stata undercard, di star maschili di altissimo livello. Per poi diventare la prima donna, del main event, dell’evento della serata.

E allora se alla strepitosa colombiana/norvegese, che ha difeso strenuamente il titolo di campione del mondo per 26 volte consecutive, fosse rimasta un po’ di quella fame, di quell’ambizione, il prossimo match da urlo che voglio per le Donne, è la trilogia: JESSICA McCASKILL vs CECICILIA BRAEKHUS.

Perché no, a Londra. Eddie Hearn di Match Room ne farebbe un evento sensazionale.

Ma probabilmente JESSICA McCASKILL non accetterebbe, vi ha perso vs l’irlandese più amata pugile di sempre, KATYE TAYLOR!

C’è ne sono tante di ragazze che han scritto la storia della boxe. Per nessuna è stato facile.

McCASKILL, dai Pesi Leggeri, ai Pesi Welter, nata in una famiglia poverissima nell’Illinois, con la conquista dei titoli di CECILIA BREAKHUS, ha riscattato il suo passato.

La boxe da sempre la possibilità di pareggiare i conti con la vita.

Del resto è roba per chi conosce le avversità della vita.

O diventi grande, o cambia vita.

Se esci dalla boxe non sempre la cambi in meglio.

Ora che le donne hanno conquistato dignità, non ho scritto parità…giacché le borse sono nettamente inferiori.

Non dimentico certo ANN J WOLFE e CHRISTY MARTIN idoli americani, che hanno imposto con estrema dedizione e passione lo Sport della Boxe. Non è stata facile, guadagnarsi da vivere.

Ma hanno seguito il loro istinto.

E vivere bleffando con sé stesse, è stato ancora più dura che sul ring.

Lo so merita più approfondimento questa mia ultima frase, e vi prometto che lo farò.

In Europa e in Giappone, in Sud America, le ragazze più dotate e avventurose ci han dato dentro, ed hanno il grande pubblico e conquistano titoli.

E le radici per chiunque sono di quelle vite nate dolorose.

Se nasci con la positività, nelle fede in te stessa, il minimo che succede che ti ritrovi sul ring come stasera di Las Vegas!

E augurati di imbastire un grande show perché il pubblico vuole vincere con te.

In quel momento stai rappresentando tutte quelle ragazze che sognano in grande.

E puoi diventare come CECILIA first lady BRAEKHUS, ambasciatrici della Nobile Arte, che lei stessa ha sfidato e cambiato, dispensando positività,  arrivano così tanti sponsor…

JESSICA non è mai uscita dagli USA, così avvolgenti con i propri atleti.

È una grande opportunità per KANDY WYATT canadese di Alberta, Calgary, che se riesce a cogliere l’occasione, così come ha accettato a tre giorni dal match…

Match a senso unico, McCASKILL ha imposto la sua preparazione sull’avversaria WYATT che ha subito tutto il match. Escluso un montante destro della canadese, al 6° round, è seguita una serie di punizioni dell’americana.

Che ha concluso al 7° round, in combinazione destro sinistro sulla canadese come se la stessa fosse pronta per lei. Tre  giorni ad un incontro è impresa rara, se non unica, da vincere. E allora McCASKILL vince facile via TKO! L’arbitro appena in tempo, ferma il match.

All, except JESSICA McCASKILL in the last fight, in March, the American convinced by winning on points that she could be the heir to that booty so deservedly won by BRAEKHUS.

I’m not really convinced.

McCASKILL’s career, 37 years old with only 12 matches, fresher, and without other valuable rivals… easy life. In boxing, you don’t earn esteem easily.

And it doesn’t matter how much the marketing may scream …

So, Mc CASKILL’s reign will belong. But not conquered in the rings all over Europe and the USA like BRAEKHUS, in 10 so exciting years, and with all that joy of living.

And CECILIA was always incredulous at every victory, she was the undercard of male stars of the highest level. To then become the first woman, of the main event, of the evening’s event.

So, if the amazing Colombian / Norwegian, who fought hard to defend the title of world champion for 26 consecutive times, was left with a bit of that hunger, that ambition, the next screaming match I want for women, is the trilogy: JESSICA McCASKILL vs CECICILIA BRAEKHUS.

Why not, in London. Match Room’s Eddie Hearn would make it a sensational event.

But probably JESSICA McCASKILL would not accept, she lost vs the most beloved Irish boxer ever, KATYE TAYLOR!

There are many girls who have written boxing history. None of it was easy.

McCASKILL, from Lightweights to Welterweights, born into a very poor family in Illinois, redeemed her past by winning the titles of CECILIA BREAKHUS.

Boxing has always been the chance to get even with life.

After all, it is stuff for those who know the adversities of life.

Either you get big, or you change your life.

If you quit boxing you don’t always change it for the better.

Now that women have gained dignity, I have not written equal money… since the purse are much lower.

I certainly don’t forget ANN J WOLFE and CHRISTY MARTIN American idols, who imposed the sport of boxing with extreme dedication and passion. It wasn’t easy, earning a living.

But they followed their instincts.

And living bluffing with yourself was even tougher than in the ring.

I know this last sentence of mine deserves more in-depth analysis, and I promise you that I will.

In Europe and Japan, in South America, the most gifted and adventurous girls have given it all, and have a large audience and conquer titles.

And the roots of all of them are from those painful born lives.

If you are born with positivity, in faith in yourself, the least that happens is that you find yourself in the ring like tonight in Las Vegas!

And hope to put together a great show because the audience wants to win with you.

At that moment you are representing all those girls who dream big.

And you can become like CECILIA first lady BRAEKHUS, ambassadors of the Noble Art, which she herself has challenged and changed, dispensing positivity, so many sponsors arrive …
