ANDY RUIZ  e ANTHONY JOSHUA faccia-a-faccia* *ANDY RUIZ and ANTHONY JOSHUA face-off

the undercard

Post Scriptum aggiornamento oggi 7 Dicembre

Onestamente, match deludente.

JOSHUA vs RUIZ II, without the ring’s girls!

tomorrow, Saturday, December 7th, the rematch between ANDY RUIZ vs ANTHONY JOSHUA valid for the belts of the Heavy Weights, WBO, IBF, WBA, and IBO. The fight is called “the clash on the dunes”, in fact, it will take place in the arena of Dirʿiyya in Saudi Arabia.

Undercards will be one of the last opponents of the British JOSHUA, former world champion, and well won by JOSHUA himself, 10 years older, the Russian ALEXANDER POVETKIN vs MICHAEL HUNTER American, valid match for the elimination of the WBA Pesi Massimi belt.

Great boxing night!

The scholarship for English ANTHONY JOSHUA is around € 80 million. For the Mexican / American it is around € 12 million. Let’s face it Seven months ago, few knew who ANDY RUIZ really was.

And without the popularity of ANTHONY JOSHUA, ANDY RUIZ vs someone else, he wouldn’t have the same interest. It is a simple economy. The revenge is thus served.

From how it will be the verdict of tomorrow night, the pursue will also change. About Saturday night it will be as agreed in the contract before the first fight.  RUIZ without JOSHUA wouldn’t be a millionaire today.

If JOSHUA doesn’t win, tomorrow night’s will be his last millionaire check.

JOSHUA vs RUIZ II, without the ring’s girls!

The verdict of the previous fight has left everyone speechless at Madison Square Garden. So I wrote last June 2nd: “ANDY RUIZ jr. 29 years old, Mexican / American since last night World Champion Heavyweights, tears 3 Belts, WBA, WBO, IBF to the British ANTHONY JOSHUA, 29 years old. A real inspiration for fat people …

ANTONY JOSHUA, a spectacular marble statue was wrought last night at Madison Square Garden by ANDY RUIZ jr. with the body similar to an obese taxi driver … “

Meanwhile, the sympathy for the new Heavyweight Champion ANDY RUIZ was celebrated everywhere in America and Mexico. New sponsors have made him a millionaire. He had the attention of all the media and he was nice and proud of that hoped-for conquest, but by no one expected … so much is ANTHONY JOSHUA who was beaten in all his athletic and statuesque.

He, with his powerful, heavy-fast combinations, the greasy cake, looking calm, has sent such a beautiful sculpture to the carpet … crumbling all the certainties of the Englishman, with Nigerian origin,  that from the 2012 Olympics, of which he was Gold Medal, to the passage in the professionals who count, under the wing of the British promoter EDDIE HEARN of Matchroom, had won a succession of victories, the most spectacular, but at the end of his career the great Ukrainian, WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO.

JOSHUA vs RUIZ II, without the ring’s girls!

Saturday night for JOSHUA there will be no room for mistakes, or he is well trained to regain control of the ring and put his skills into practice or he has no future in the ranking of the greats that dominate and I mean, TYSON FURY and DEONTAY WILDER.

The different physicality of the two opponents is the key to understanding this difficult match with a complicated prediction. In fact, ANDY RUIZ is small, stocky and unexpectedly very mobile. I believe ANTHONY JOSHUA has never met someone like him in his entire career, not even as an amateur.

JOSHUA has the height and the extension of the arms … as indeed a giant of the Heavy Weights usually has.

If AJ does not dominate RUIZ with his physicality, it will be evident that the mental factor is not able to outclass the Mexican / American who instead exudes determination and security as well as inspire joy …

RUIZ has won all four WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO Belts, previously won by JOSHUA. Now whoever wins in Saudi Arabia on Saturday will face the American holding the WBC belt, DEONTAY WILDER.

JOSHUA vs RUIZ II, without the ring’s girls!

One thing is certain that both champions in all presentations, everywhere have shown truly mutual respect.

When there is a substance of high entertainment, the class outside the ring is easily highlighted. The gentlemen’s approach made the event even more interesting worldwide.

In both the desire to win is very strong.

Certainly, when skirmishes fly, casuals fans will be surprised and have fun and so more tickets will sell out…

Moreover, the tension between the two boxing fighters is always true. Like pain and fatigue resistance.

But the great Champions know how to mask well, it is part of the cultural baggage of the great boxing.

Anyway, the atmosphere in Saudi Arabia doesn’t give space to pure goliardic, in fact, alcohol, not even beer is forbidden … and the girls in the ring, the beauties on display with the sponsors will not be there between rounds.

I don’t like this at all, because, without the beautiful girls who show off with their femininity, promoting and gaining from their sponsored image, the virility of the male alone is really boring. And again, I don’t like censorship in any way.

Always, in boxing, the virility of the male is exalted to the maximum in their best years. Thus the femininity of girls. Why not leave with the class that has always characterized the “show” of boxing in its entirety?

My predictions?

ALEXANDER POVETKIN vs MICHAEL HUNTER…I expect the older POVETKIN  to close via KO.

This time AJ will make up for it by redeeming the victory …?

RUIZ will stop JOSHUA again …?

I expose myself: ANDY RUIZ via TKO.

Post scriptum update today December 7th

Undercard: with expert craft POVETKIN, 40-year-old in full form subdued with powerful stones and won more rounds in my opinion vs HUNTER,  who surely pulled more shots and less convincing.

Excellent battle both draw the tie. Scores cards 115-113 POVETKIN, 115-113 HUNTER, 114-114.

The MAIN EVENT RUIZ vs JOSHUA began with the Amnesty International Campaign with the representative from the United Kingdom which called for media attention condemning the insensitivity to human rights of Saudi Arabia. JOSHUA was not prepared for the question … he did not know what he is doing Amnesty International JOSHUA believes that the whole sporting event is really politically correct. Not really a great answer …

THE FIGHT won on points by JOSHUA was a run for 12 rounds. You can’t be the challenger and run for 12 rounds. The result in the judges’ cards very abundant for JOSHUA 118-110, 118-110 and 119-109.

RUIZ had control of the Ring throughout the fight. JOSHUA was clearly the challenger and RUIZ. the Champion. JOSHUA tried to win the whole fight via on points … we are not at the amateurs Olympics.

Of the rest, RUIZ back in the score has done very little in the last rounds to try to finish the British.

AJ was very basic: one punch at a time, one leg at a time …  JOSHUA advantaged in the score there was no way he could dream of a KO, He literally danced all the time …. this is Boxing, not ballroom.

Honestly, disappointing fight.
