PUTIN e TRUMP in ALASKA mi è parso più un probabile accordo commerciale fra le parti che una soluzione immediata alla fine della Guerra in Ucraina
Ho seguito on line la conferenza stampa di Putin e Trump, in Alaska.
Putin ha fatto il punto storico tra Russia e USA – e quanti sono i cognomi russi che vivono in USA…Un cimitero militare ricorda i successi raggiunti insieme nella Second Guerra Mondiale. Trump ha detto che il punto più importante la fine delle ostilità è vicina, non c’è accordo ma siamo vicini. In un prossimo futuro Putin ha chiesto che il nuovo incontro avvenga a Mosca. Ha parlato di fratellanza riferendosi all’Ucraina…Ma pensa… chissà se Putin non lo pensava cosa ne avrebbe fatto dell’Ucraina!
E di tutta l’Europa che gli è ostile.
Trump telefonerà a Zelensky e così ad altri leader, certamente alla NATO. Non c’è stata possibilità di domande per i giornalisti. Putin ha confermato che se nel 2022 ci fosse stato Trump la guerra non sarebbe iniziata…Dalle parole di Putin mi è sembrato un incontro più volto a risolvere i problemi economici della Russia, accordi importanti, certo anche per gli USA. Ma il più importante – la Pace- è ancora una volta rinviato…Trump “nessun accordo finchè non c’è accordo”.
Penso che il prossimo incontro dovrà avvenire in Europa con la partecipazione di Zelensky. O difficilmente si troverà un accordo, per una Pace Giusta e Duratura. L’Europa Unita deve sostenere l’Ucraina come del resto ha fatto sin d’ora. Ma di più.
Putin se non gradisce l’Europa, si conferma non affidabile. E averlo alle porte di casa non è per nulla rassicurante.
L’Ucraina è parte dell’Europa per suo stesso volere. E L’Europa ha da subito aperto all’inclusione dell’Ucraina in Europa. Putin non riuscirà a metterci contro gli USA. Impossibile. Noi Europei si, siamo fratelli Occidentali. Certe guerre tragiche le abbiamo seppellite 80 anni fa.
Europa procediamo alla nostra difesa. Non possiamo stare in balia di certi tipi “umorali”.
Nel frattempo se son rose fioriranno…Ma non a Mosca.

PUTIN and TRUMP in ALASKA seemed to me more like a probable trade agreement between the parties than an immediate solution to the end of the war in Ukraine.
I followed the press conference between Putin and Trump in Alaska online.
Putin took stock of Russia’s history and the USA, and how many Russian surnames are found in the US? A military cemetery commemorates the successes achieved together in World War II. Trump said the most important point was the end of hostilities; there’s no agreement, but we’re close. Putin has asked for a new meeting to take place in Moscow shortly. He spoke of brotherhood, referring to Ukraine. But imagine… I wonder if Putin hadn’t thought so, what would he have done with Ukraine?
And with all of Europe, which is hostile to him.
Trump will call Zelensky, as well as other leaders, certainly NATO. There was no opportunity for journalists to ask questions. Putin confirmed that if Trump had been in power in 2022, the war would not have started. From Putin’s words, it seemed like a meeting aimed more at resolving Russia’s economic problems, important agreements, and certainly also for the US. But the most important thing—Peace—has been postponed once again…Trump says, “No deal until there’s an agreement.”
I think the next meeting will have to take place in Europe, with Zelensky’s participation. Otherwise, it’s unlikely an agreement will be reached for a Just and Lasting Peace. United Europe must support Ukraine, as it has done so far. But more than that. If Putin doesn’t like Europe, he’s unreliable. And having him on our doorstep is not at all reassuring.
Ukraine is part of Europe of its own will. And Europe has immediately opened its doors to Ukraine’s inclusion in Europe. Putin won’t be able to turn us against the US. Impossible. We Europeans, yes, are Western brothers. We buried certain tragic wars 80 years ago.
Europe, let’s defend ourselves. We cannot remain at the mercy of certain “temperamental” types.
In the meantime, if things are rosy, they will bloom… But not in Moscow.
