GIANCARLO GARBELLI nel PANTHEON degli Illustri della sua MILANO. Sono orgogliosa di apprendere dalla stampa e dai TG che Il ‘Pantheon’ del cimitero Monumentale di Milano, ospiterà dal prossimo 2 novembre 12 nuovi nomi, comunicati in una nota dalla Commissione consultiva del Comune di Milano per le onoranze al Famedio.
Tra i dodici benemeriti: Il nostro più Grande Campione di Boxe di sempre, tutto milanese GIANCARLO “Il Fighter d’Italia” GARBELLI è tra le personalità che hanno contribuito a rendere Milano migliore e lustro alla città.

Grazie da tutta la Famiglia GARBELLI alla Commissione tutta. Mio Papà GIANCARLO GARBELLI aveva la sua Milano nel cuore, qui ha avuto un infinito pubblico: dal Teatro Nazionale, al Teatro Principe, al Palazzo dello Sport, allo Stadio di San Siro, al Vigorelli. Ha portato Milano nelle grandi arene, Olympic Stadium di Los Angeles, di San Francisco, di Berlino, di Parigi e di Londra, e tante altre nel mondo. Milioni in TV. Striminzito Peso Leggero, poi naturale Peso Welter, diventa un eccezionale Peso Medio.
Gran generoso sul ring, sapeva entusiasmare il pubblico come nessuno, era spettacolare funambolo del ring. Campioni si nasce, lui è nato con quell’estro in più del grande campione di boxe.
Anche il Consiglio Mondiale di Pugilato – WBC – lo ha riconosciuto con la cintura ad honorem, già nel 2012, lui si è spento il 16 marzo del 2013, e la cintura è arrivata nel 2015 alla presentazione del mio libro al Salone int’l del Libro di Torino, e con il quale ho vinto il Premio Selezione Bancarelle Sport 2016.
E non solo formidabile atleta, aveva un peso dell’anima eccezionale… Giancarlo Garbelli, unico
Il Cimitero Monumentale di Milano è un vero e proprio museo a cielo aperto, con le sue costruzioni dai richiami bizantini, gotici e romanici.
Sembra spettrale parlare di un Cimitero, ma vi assicuro che è tra i più ricchi di meravigliose opere d’arte al mondo e nel famedio ci sono gli illustri che hanno con il loro ingegno, la propria arte in ogni settore, fatto crescere e rendere Milano la città numero uno d’Italia, tra le grandi capitali nel mondo.

Sabato 2 Novembre 2019 ci sarà la cerimonia con il nostro Sindaco Beppe Sala, invito già da adesso, e sarò precisa nei giorni a ridosso sull’orario, gli Amici della Grande Boxe, i ragazzi e le ragazze delle palestre, gli amici della Cultura, dello Sport, insomma tutti coloro che stimano Giancarlo Garbelli. Sarà iscritto tra i grandi illustri milanesi da Alessandro Manzoni a Inge Feltrinelli.

I am proud to read in the news that the ‘Pantheon’ of the Monumental Cemetery in Milan, will host 12 new names from November 2nd, communicated in a note by the Advisory Commission of the Municipality of Milan for honorary honors. Among the twelve meritorious: our Greatest Boxing Champion of All Time, all Milanese GIANCARLO “The Fighter of Italy” GARBELLI is among the personalities that have contributed to making Milan better giving luster to the city.

Thanks from the whole Garbelli Family to the Commission. My Dad GIANCARLO GARBELLI had his Milan in his heart, where he had an infinite public: from the National Theater to the Teatro Principe, to the Palazzo Dello Sport, to the San Siro Stadium, to the Vigorelli Arena. He took Milan to the big arenas, Olympic Stadium in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Berlin, Paris, London, and many others around the world. Millions on TV. Skinny Light Weight, then natural Welter Weight, becomes an exceptional Middle Weight.
A great heart in the ring, he knew how to thrill the public like no one, and he was a spectacular tightrope walker of the ring. Champions are born, he was born with that extra talent of the great boxing champion. Even the World Boxing Council – WBC – recognized him with the honorary belt, already in 2012, he died on March 16th, 2013, and the belt arrived in 2015 at the presentation of my book at the Int’l Book Fair in Turin, and with whom I won in 2016, the 53rd Bancarella Sports Selection Award.
And not only a formidable athlete, but he also had an exceptional soul weight … Giancarlo Garbelli is unique.
The Monumental Cemetery of Milan is a veritable open-air museum, with its buildings featuring Byzantine, Gothic and Romanesque references.
It seems spooky to talk about a cemetery, but I assure you that it is among the richest of wonderful works of art in the world, and in the Pantheon, there are the illustrious who have with their talent, their art in every sector, made to grow and make Milan the number one city in Italy, among the great capitals in the world.

He will be sculptured among the great illustrious from Alessandro Manzoni to Inge Feltrinelli.
