Ieri appena è stato annunciato il nome di ROBERT FRANCIS PREVOST prima dell’HABEMUS PAPA ho sorriso al mio pensiero: –nomen omen– nel nome il destino.
Infatti il cognome del nuovo Papa, PREVOST, c’è l’indicazione del destino, una chiave di lettura se volete molto popolana, di chi sarebbe stato scelto dal Conclave.
PREVOST in milanese e più generalmente in lombardo significa SACERDOTE.
Esempio: El prevost della gesa di Santa Maria alle Grazie al Navili l’è Don Antonio…
…il parroco della chiesa di Santa Maria alle Grazie al Naviglio è Don Antonio…
Non ho idea se le origini, di Papa LEONE XIV PREVOST, siano di queste mie parti, ho letto che in parte sono anche italiane, ma per la prima volta la più grande Diocesi Europea, appunto Milano, esclusa dal Conclave perché non ha un Cardinale, Il Duomo di Milano ha il Vescovo Delpini, con Papa LEONE XIV PREVOST si sentirà ancor di più in sintonia.
La gioia dell’annuncio del suo nome, dal balcone di Piazza San Pietro, di fronte a centomila persone esplosa in un boato per PAPA LEONE XIV PREVOST, il primo Papa americano della storia del cattolicesimo, lui cosi emozionato, e così fermo nelle sue prime parole -LA PACE SIA CON VOI-, mi è parso subito un balzo in avanti, una premessa e ferma promessa di continuare il solco di PACE insito nella chiesa cattolica, che oggi di più, deve essere incisivo.
E puoi star certo che da ieri gli americani cattolici ora saranno più numerosi. Allargare la Chiesa Cattolica, oggi ad oltre 1 miliardo e 400 mila persone sparse in tutti i continenti, e il lavoro del Buon Pastore.

Yesterday, as soon as the name of ROBERT FRANCIS PREVOST was announced before HABEMUS PAPA, I smiled at my thought: –nomen omen – destiny in the name.
The new Pope’s surname, PREVOST, indicates destiny, a very popular interpretation of who would be chosen by the Conclave.
PREVOST in Milanese and more generally in Lombard dialect means PRIEST.
Example: …the priest of the church of Santa Maria alle Grazie al Naviglio is Don Antonio…
I have no idea if the origins of Pope LEO XIV PREVOST are from these parts of mine. I read that in part, they are also Italian. Still, for the first time, the largest European Diocese, Milano, was excluded from the Conclave because it doesn’t have a Cardinal; the Cathedral of Milano has Bishop Delpini. With Pope LEO XIV PREVOST, it will feel even more in tune.
