Synopsis

This is the extraordinary journey of Gianna Garbelli, filmmaker from Milano, into the fascinating world of boxing.
The daughter and grand daughter of boxing champions, Ms Garbelli has a natural familiarity with the passions and poetry of pugilism.
Her affection and respect for performers- of the noble art- resonate in these wide ranging conversations.
Many of the men whom she sits down with have overcome incredible adversity in life and made endless sacrifices to become the best in this the hardest and most unforgiving of all sports.

In her masterwork Gianna gets together with a wide cast of boxers and boxing cognoscenti.
The Oscar winning Maestro Budd Schulberg is one of her muse and his immortal words spoken by the late, great Marlon Brando in "On the Waterfront" have become boxing's mantra. "I could have been a contender!"
